About
Exiled to a land she is told she belongs to but knows absolutely nothing about, Selene is forced to confront the one thing she has spent her life avoiding: herself. Her identity, her heritage, and her origin, none of it sits easily with her. Arrogant, conceited, and a fledgling vampire, she is cast into the brutal Land of Origin, left to survive or fail under the distant, mocking watch of those who await news of her struggle, or her death. She quickly learns this is no place for the unprepared. Witches, ancient beings, were-creatures, and even humans, hunters and prey alike, all play a dangerous game where a single misstep means execution. They might fight among themselves for supremacy, but against outsiders, they stand as one. And Selene is very much an outsider. Survival takes more than just instinct in a world this merciless, but Selene has never lacked bite. The caramel-skinned beauty adapts quickly, learning exactly when to charm, when to deceive, and when to bare her fangs. Whatever this hostile realm demands of her, she will become. Freedom isn't given in the Land of Origin; it has to be taken, and Selene will use whatever means necessary to claim hers, even if it means embracing the dark, monstrous instincts tied to her heritage.
